Unfortunately, we weren't able to show off Victor's lion costume on Halloween but I did take photos of him in his cute costume on Halloween eve (thanks to cousin Matthew).
"Thanks for holding me, Mrs. Bailey. I love to be held!" "ROAR!"
At about 3 months old, Victor fit into his big Duke t-shirt from big cousin Erin. These photos were taken while getting him to hold his space rattle. I think he enjoyed it, what do you think? My guess: he's thinking this shirt should say UCONN!
I'm 4 years old and started having seizures when I was 2 weeks. The Dr's didn't detect my seizures (Sz) until I was 13 weeks old. To control my Sz, I've tried many medications: Phenobarbital, Keppra, Zonegran, Lamictal, Vigabitrin, Diastat, Ativan, Klonopin, Celontin, Tegrotol, Clobazam, Depakote & now Vimpat.
I've had lots of therapies: cranial sacral, physical, occupational, speech, rolfing, hippotherapy and swimming. Plus, I've seen a naturopath, homeopath and various other doctors. I had infantile spasms(IS) and tried ACTH (steroid injections). My IS resolved after I took vigabitrin; I was 6 months. I've been on the Ketogenic Diet since I was 8 months. When I started the diet my seizures were 50+ seizures/day I now have <3/day.
I have a hard time verbally communicating and I work real hard to build my strength so that I may one day sit alone without falling over and hold up my head with ease. I am legally blind with something called cortical vision impairment but I can still see lights and images. My parents support me every step of the way and my Mommy writes about me in this blog to help others better understand me and my condition.
Thank you for reading!
